About R.I.S. Foregrip for Pressure Switch, Fibre-Reinforced Polymer, Black
This foregrip mounts on an R.I.S. rail – the 20 mm rail based on the Picatinny/Weaver principle found on the handguard of most modern airsoft guns. The grip is made of black fibre-reinforced polymer and is designed to take a pressure switch, so you can place the switch for your weapon light or laser where your support hand holds anyway.
The point of combining grip and switch is that you can turn the light or laser on without moving your hand from your shooting position. A switch stuck loosely to the rail with Velcro or tape easily shifts during a game, and the cable can snag. Fibre-reinforced polymer is stiffer than ordinary injection-moulded plastic and lighter than an aluminium grip, which makes it a sensible compromise for a foregrip that has to cope with being used as a brace point against cover.
R.I.S. foregrip with room for a switch
What you get:
- Mounts on 20 mm R.I.S.: Fits standardised 20 mm rails, so the grip can be used on many different platforms with R.I.S. on the handguard.
- Made for a switch: The grip is designed to hold a switch for a light or laser, so the control sits right under your fingers instead of being taped loosely to the rail.
- Fibre-reinforced polymer: Stiffer and more impact-resistant than ordinary plastic, but lighter than metal – keeping weight off the handguard.
- Better control of the gun: A foregrip gives your support hand a firm hold, making it easier to control the gun during fast target transitions and when shooting from cover.
- Neutral black finish: Matches most airsoft guns and other rail accessories. Our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can help with fitting, and you are welcome to see the grip in our shop.
Maintenance and safety
- Position the grip so it does not get in the way of magazine changes, and so the switch cable cannot snag on your kit.
- Check before every game day that the mount is tight on the rail – a loose grip can shift during play.
- Clean the grip with a damp cloth and avoid solvents, which can attack the polymer.
- Tighten the mounting screw by hand rather than with a long-lever tool – overtightening can damage the polymer.
