FX Impact M4 Compact PCP, Copper, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX Impact M4 Compact Copper is a compact bullpup PCP air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) with a 500 mm barrel, an overall length of 640 mm and a weight of 2800 g. The air is held in a 300 cc carbon fibre bottle filled to 250 bar, and an AMP MKII regulator keeps the working pressure constant. FX quotes up to 47 J and up to 375 shots per fill in .177 (4.5 mm), and the magazine holds 35 shots.

The Copper version has copper-coloured details on the black aluminium chassis and is the colour FX itself launched the M4 in. The Compact is the shortest of the M4 lengths and the easiest to handle in a hide and in the car. The new UG1 grip has a palm rest, and the whole rifle is built on the same modular platform as the larger Impact versions.

72 cc plenum, Quick Set Trigger and STX liner

Five features that define the Impact M4:

• Bullpup with 500 mm barrel: The action sits behind the trigger, so a full 500 mm barrel fits in a rifle of just 640 mm – short enough for the car, the hide and dense woodland.
• 72 cc power plenum and AMP MKII regulator: The large plenum gives enough air per shot for both diabolo pellets and slugs, and the regulator with brass piston keeps the pressure consistent from a full to an almost empty bottle.
• Quick Set Trigger: The trigger can be switched between hunting, standard and match settings with a single screw, so you can easily find the pull that suits the job.
• STX Superior liner: FX's interchangeable liner lets you change twist or calibre later without buying a new rifle.
• 30 MOA Picatinny and reversible sidelever: The top plate is stronger than on earlier Impacts, and the Picatinny rail with 30 MOA cant gives elevation for long range. The cocking lever can be moved to the left side, and two pressure gauges show bottle and regulator pressure.

Maintenance and safety

• Only fill with clean, dry compressed air via the Foster fitting, and do not exceed 250 bar.
• Check the O-rings at the bottle, fill port and magazine regularly, and replace them when worn.
• Release the air from the system before unscrewing the bottle, so threads and seals are not put under load.
• Store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase – rules on power and age limits differ across the EU.
