About Daisy PowerLine Model 25, 4.5 mm
The Daisy PowerLine Model 25 is a classic 4.5 mm BB air rifle that fires steel BBs from a spring-fed magazine tube holding 50 BBs. The rifle is cocked with a pump action: you pull the forend under the barrel back and push it forward again, and the spring is cocked with a fresh BB ready. That makes the Model 25 well suited to relaxed target shooting at paper targets and cans on a safe range.
The Model 25 has been in Daisy's range for more than 100 years, and the design is largely unchanged: wooden stock, metal construction and a smoothbore steel barrel. The pump action sets it apart from most modern break-barrel rifles, where the whole barrel has to be broken for every shot. Here you stay in your shooting position, and because the magazine is spring-fed, you do not have to tilt the rifle to get the next BB into place, as you do with gravity-fed BB guns.
Pump-action BB rifle with 50-shot magazine
The key features of the Model 25:
- Pump-action cocking: The forend cocks the spring in one movement, so you can fire several shots in a row without breaking the barrel or taking the rifle off your shoulder.
- 50 BBs in the magazine tube: The spring-fed tube holds 50 steel BBs, so you can shoot a full string without reloading.
- Velocity around 106 m/s: Daisy states 106 m/s with 4.5 mm steel BBs – enough for accurate target shooting at short distances without being a powerful gun.
- Adjustable sights: The front sight is a metal blade-and-ramp, and the rear sight flips between peep and open sight and adjusts for both elevation and windage.
- Wooden stock and cross-bolt safety: The stock is wood, the rifle is 927 mm long and weighs around 1360 g, and a cross-bolt safety blocks the trigger.
Maintenance and safety
- Only use 4.5 mm steel BBs – not diabolo pellets – for example Umarex steel BBs, 1500 pcs.
- Steel BBs can ricochet off hard surfaces. Shoot at a BB trap that catches the BBs, and wear shooting glasses – spectators too.
- Empty the magazine tube and keep the safety on when the rifle is not in use, and store it out of reach of children.
- Check the air gun regulations in your country before purchase – rules, including age limits, differ across the EU.
