Where the standard models often use aluminium, the 945BK-1 offers a modern and very hard-wearing material that can take plenty of punishment:

• Layered Black & Blue G10: The handle scales are made of black G10 – a very tough glass-fibre material pressed under high pressure. What is special here is the underlying bright blue base layer. When the handle is machined, the blue layers appear along the edges and grooves, giving a crisp, discreet colour contrast.

• Tactical black Cerakote® blade finish: The 74.2 mm blade is coated with a matt black protective Cerakote® surface that reduces friction when cutting, eliminates reflections and gives extra protection against daily wear and scratches.

• Compact and light: At just 62.09 g you will hardly notice you are carrying it. The knife has a black Mini Split-Arrow pocket clip, so it sits discreetly and deep in your pocket.

Reverse tanto blade in premium CPM-S30V steel

The blade profile of the Osborne series is known for its great versatility and structural strength:

• The reverse tanto: The distinctive "reverse tanto" blade shape combines a sharp, precise cutting edge with an extra-thick, robust point. This makes the knife excellent for both fine precision cuts and more demanding, hard everyday tasks.

• Premium CPM-S30V steel (58-60 HRC): The blade is made of the well-regarded CPM-S30V stainless powder steel. It gives a good balance between excellent edge retention, high toughness against edge damage and very good corrosion resistance in damp outdoor environments.

AXIS® Lock and fully Ambidextrous

The knife has Benchmade's patented AXIS® Lock mechanism, which locks the blade mechanically and solidly in the open position, so it feels like working with a fixed blade. The lock allows fast, smooth and safe one-handed operation. As the mechanism can be reached from both sides and the pocket clip is easily reversed, the knife is fully Ambidextrous – ideal for both right- and left-handed users.
