Benchmade 165-1 Mini Bushcrafter

The Benchmade 165-1 Mini Bushcrafter is a compact fixed-blade knife developed for bushcraft, camping and outdoor life. Designed by Shane Sibert, it offers the same structural strength as the larger standard model, but in a shorter, more compact format that gives more control for precision work and finer whittling.

Solid full-tang construction and weather-resistant grip

Despite the smaller size, the knife's dimensions are optimised for mechanical stability under pressure:

• Robust full tang: Despite the shorter profile, the blade keeps a thickness of 4.17 mm, running continuously through the entire handle. This protects the knife against structural failure during woodwork.

• OD Green G10 handle: The handle scales are made of olive green (OD Green) G10 – a glass-fibre material that is not affected by water, blood or temperature changes. The grip also has underlying red liners that form a visual edge along the handle. With a handle thickness of 23.5 mm, the knife fills the hand well for a stable grip.

• Heavy leather sheath: The knife comes with a hard-wearing leather belt sheath with an integrated holder for a ferro rod.

Drop-point blade in CPM-S30V powder steel

The blade geometry is adapted to versatile outdoor tasks and food preparation in camp:

• CPM-S30V stainless powder steel (58-60 HRC): The 85.9 mm blade is made of CPM-S30V steel. It gives a proven balance between long edge retention, high mechanical toughness and good corrosion resistance in damp environments.

• Hard-wearing stonewash finish: The blade surface has a stonewash treatment that effectively hides scratches, wear and signs of use. The drop-point profile gives a strong point.

Symmetrical, Ambidextrous design

The knife is fully symmetrical, and the leather sheath allows the same handling either way, making the whole tool suitable for both right- and left-handed users. At just 70.59 g, it is easy to carry in the field every day.

The knife is made in the USA at Benchmade's own factory with a focus on tight tolerances and controlled material standards.
