About Redline Shim Kit
The Redline Poppet shim kit lets you tune the airflow through your Polarstar poppet.
You can swap or combine the colour-coded shims to get the ideal airflow.
The Redline Poppet shim kit gives you all the benefits of a low-flow poppet, with the added benefit of shorter poppet dwell times and more possible airflow configurations.
Adding a shim increases the spacing of your poppet, which reduces its travel. Reducing poppet travel shortens the time the seat is open, resulting in lower air consumption.
A side effect of reduced poppet travel is that it also reduces the time it takes the poppet to close fully when the solenoid valve closes. This lets you raise your DP and gain a little more reliability without sacrificing air efficiency.
And since every gun's setup is unique, shims let you tune the flow to your particular gun without buying more poppets.
