About the kit
The upgrade kit for the ASG Urban Sniper brings together the parts that get the rifle ready for a stronger spring and more accurate shots. The Urban Sniper is based on the Well MB-06 (SR-2), and the kit is made up of parts designed specifically for that platform: a complete cylinder set, a hop-up chamber and a spacer ring for the inner barrel.
A standard aluminium cylinder is the first thing to give way when spring force goes up. A reinforced cylinder set and a precise hop-up chamber are therefore the foundation of the upgrade, and a spacer ring keeps the inner barrel centred. The reinforced trigger for the MB-06 is on order and will be added to the kit. You can fit the kit yourself, or let our workshop assemble and test it. When we fit it, we chronograph the velocity and record m/s and BB weight, so the rifle stays within the site's limits.
Parts made for the MB-06 / SR-2 platform
- PDI Pasonite cylinder set HD for SR-2: A complete, reinforced cylinder set for the platform, so cylinder and piston can withstand a stronger spring.
- PDI hop-up chamber for SR-2: A precise chamber that gives more consistent hop-up than the standard chamber and therefore a more stable trajectory.
- Inner barrel spacer ring (SR-2): Keeps the inner barrel centred in the outer barrel, so it doesn't vibrate when fired.
- Made for your rifle: All parts are for the MB-06 / SR-2 – no universal parts that need adapting.
- Set up for the site: When fitted in the workshop, velocity is measured so the rifle complies with the site's bolt action limits.
Maintenance and safety
- The upgrade requires disassembly of the cylinder and trigger mechanism. If you haven't done it before, we recommend having it fitted in our workshop
- Always measure velocity with a chronograph after fitting, and follow the site's limits and minimum engagement distances for bolt action
- Lubricate the cylinder and piston O-ring sparingly with silicone oil, and keep barrel and hop-up clean
- Store the rifle uncocked when not in use
- Always wear approved eye protection during play and testing
