The whole story of Merrell starts back in 1981, when Randy Merrell began a collaboration with two former heads of a ski company - Clark Matis and John Schweizer! Randy was the company's "craftsman" where Clark and John's competitive mentality and industry experience proved to be the perfect match.
After a few years, the company was named "The best hiking boot ever made" and "the most comfortable and functional boots in North America" by Backpacker Magazine.
