About Crosman Pointed Pellets, 5.5 mm, 175 pcs
Crosman Pointed is a pointed diabolo pellet in 5.5 mm (.22) for air rifles. Each pellet weighs 0.95 g, and the tin contains 175 pcs. The pointed nose is made for penetration and a flatter trajectory, making the pellet suitable for precision shooting and pest control.
Pointed pellets have lower drag than wadcutter match pellets and penetrate deeper into the target. On the other hand, they are more sensitive to damage to the tip and to barrel quality – so test them in your own gun. At 0.95 g they are mid-weight and suit both springers and PCP rifles.
Pointed nose, 0.95 g and 175 pcs
Five features of Crosman Pointed:
- Pointed nose: Less drag and deeper penetration than wadcutter and domed pellets.
- 0.95 g per pellet: A mid-weight that suits both springer and PCP air rifles.
- Flatter trajectory: The aerodynamic profile retains velocity over distance.
- For pest control: The penetration makes the pellet relevant where the impact needs to be effective.
- 175 pcs per tin: From Crosman, one of the oldest American brands in air guns and ammunition.
Maintenance and safety
- The pellets contain lead – wash your hands after handling, and do not let children play with them.
- Keep the tin closed and dry so the pellets do not oxidise or get damaged skirts that affect accuracy.
- Always test new pellets in your own gun – accuracy depends on the barrel, and what shoots best in one gun is not necessarily best in another.
- Only shoot at a safe backstop, and wear eye protection. Check the air gun regulations in your country before purchase.
