CYMA CM023 MP5 A5

The CYMA CM023 is a simple electric airsoft MP5 (AEG) in plastic for casual target shooting in the garden. The set includes a battery, charger, speedloader, cleaning rod, sling, red dot sight, mock suppressor and glasses for target shooting, so all you need to add is BBs. Please note: the batteries in the included red dot sight may be corroded, so the sight's illumination may not work. This is not covered by the warranty and is the reason for the low price.

It shoots at approx. 40 m/s, equivalent to around 0.2 J – a fraction of the roughly 1 J of a typical skirmish gun. That makes it well suited to targets and cans, but not to actual airsoft games on a site. The body, front end and stock are plastic, and the gearbox is a plastic V2, so it is built as an inexpensive first taste of airsoft rather than a platform for upgrading. It fires both semi and full auto and has a retractable stock.

What you get in the box and in the gun:

• Complete set: A battery (7.2 V NiMH) and charger are included, so you can get started straight away without buying extra electronics.
• Low power: At approx. 40 m/s it suits short distances and light BBs of 0.12–0.20 g. Heavier BBs become too slow to fly stably.
• Adjustable hop-up: The hop-up is adjusted with a slider on the side, so you can fine-tune the trajectory to the BB weight you use.
• 110-round magazine: The hi-cap magazine is wound with a wheel and holds 110 rounds. It is not compatible with standard MP5 AEG magazines.
• Semi and full auto: You can choose between single shots and full auto, which makes shooting more varied than with a spring pistol.

Maintenance and safety

• The battery takes 2 hours to charge, and the charger does not switch off by itself. Never leave the battery charging overnight – incorrect charging is not covered by the warranty.
• Please note that the illumination in the included red dot sight may not work because of corroded batteries.
• Use light, clean BBs of 0.12–0.20 g so the feeding in the plastic gearbox is not put under unnecessary strain.
• The included glasses are for target shooting. Always wear approved eye protection, and only shoot at targets – never at people or animals.
