The AGERON T-shirt is made from ring-spun cotton, which is produced slightly differently from regular cotton. In ring spinning, the cotton fibres are continuously twisted and thinned out, creating a very fine rope of cotton fibres. The twisting makes the short cotton hairs stand out, resulting in a stronger yarn with a noticeably softer feel. The more the fibres are spun, the stronger and softer the yarn becomes.
The benefits of ring-spun over regular cotton are clear: a 200 gsm regular cotton T-shirt can be heavier than a 165 gsm ring-spun cotton T-shirt, but the ring-spun T-shirt will often be more durable and considerably softer.
