About Spot On Hunter, 5.5 mm, 200 pcs
Spot On Hunter is a domed pellet in 5.5 mm (.22) for hunting and pest control with an air rifle. Each pellet weighs 0.907 g (14 grains), and the tin contains 200 pcs. The round nose and weight distribution give stable flight and a solid hit at short to medium range.
At 14 grains, Hunter is a mid-weight pellet that works in both springers and PCP rifles. That makes it a good starting point if you shoot a springer, where a heavy PCP pellet would give too curved a trajectory. The domed shape is the classic all-round hunting shape: better aerodynamics than a wadcutter, but more robust than pointed pellets.
Domed head, 14 grains and for springer and PCP
Five features of Spot On Hunter:
- Domed head: The round nose gives stable flight and retains energy better than wadcutter match pellets.
- 0.907 g / 14 grains: A weight that works in both springer and PCP rifles.
- For short to medium range: Made for hunting and pest control, where accuracy and impact must go hand in hand.
- Good penetration: The shape and weight give a solid impact on the target.
- 200 pcs per tin: Protects the pellets from deformation so they do not lose accuracy.
Maintenance and safety
- The pellets contain lead – wash your hands after handling, and do not let children play with them.
- Keep the tin closed and dry so the pellets do not oxidise or get damaged skirts that affect accuracy.
- Always test new pellets in your own gun – accuracy depends on the barrel, and what shoots best in one gun is not necessarily best in another.
- Only shoot at a safe backstop, and wear eye protection. Check the air gun regulations in your country before purchase.
