About ZAN Projectiles Slugs Hyper Line, 4.5 mm, 13 grain
ZAN Projectiles Hyper Line are 13-grain slugs in 4.5 mm (.177) with a hollow point and a hollow base. The Hyper Line series has a friction-reducing coating and a lubricant that reduces resistance in the barrel and leaves no residue.
The slugs have a fluorescent colour, so they are easy to see in the tin and to follow in flight. ZAN also makes Hyper Line in other weights – 13 grains is the lightest in the series in .177 and suits rifles set up for slugs.
Low-friction slugs
Hyper Line combines the slug shape with a coating that keeps the barrel clean.
- 13 grains: A light slug in .177 that suits rifles where heavy slugs do not stabilise.
- Hollow point and hollow base: The slugs have a hollow point and a hollow base that seals against the barrel on firing.
- Friction-reducing coating: Reduces resistance in the barrel and gives more consistent velocity.
- Leaves no residue: The lubricant is designed not to leave residue in the barrel.
- Fluorescent colour: Makes it easier to see the slugs and spot impacts.
Maintenance and safety
Store the slugs dry in the closed tin so they do not oxidise or deform, and handle them as little as possible – soft lead projectiles are easily marked, which affects accuracy. Wash your hands after handling lead projectiles, and only shoot at a safe pellet trap.
