Benchmade 945-04 Mini Osborne

The Benchmade 945-04 Mini Osborne is a compact folding knife for everyday carry (EDC), based on the classic design by knifemaker Warren Osborne. This model is a scaled-down version of the original full-size Osborne, which makes it lighter and more discreet to carry in the pocket. This variant combines textured Micarta with dark copper details.

Blue Denim Micarta and subdued details

The knife's exterior materials offer a combination of mechanical durability and a distinctive look:

• Blue Denim Micarta handle: The handle scales are made from hard-wearing Micarta with a blue denim texture. The material stands up to everyday wear and gives a stable grip, even in wet conditions. With a handle thickness of only 10.8 mm, the knife takes up minimal space in the pocket.

• Dark copper-coloured details: The knife has dark, copper-coloured PVD-coated components, including barrel spacers and thumb studs, which complement the blue handle.

• Low weight: Thanks to the light materials, the knife has a total weight of 55.57 g, so you hardly notice it when carrying it.

Reverse tanto blade in Böhler M390 super steel

The blade is shaped with a focus on high tip strength and long-lasting cutting performance:

• Böhler M390 powder steel (58–61 HRC): The 74.2 mm blade is made from M390 powder steel. This steel is chosen for its high wear resistance and fine carbide structure, which results in long edge retention and high resistance to rust.

• Reverse tanto profile: The blade is a functional reverse tanto, 2.64 mm thick with a light satin finish. The profile combines a regular cutting edge with a reinforced tip for versatile everyday tasks.

AXIS® Lock and full functionality for both hands

The lock mechanism is Benchmade's mechanical AXIS® Lock, which locks the blade open via a crossbar. The system allows smooth, controlled one-handed opening and closing. Because the lock is equally accessible from both sides of the handle and the pocket clip can be moved, the knife is fully Ambidextrous and works for both right- and left-handed users.

The knife is made in the USA at Benchmade's own factory in Oregon.
