Benchmade 743BK-01 Mini Narrows

The Benchmade 743BK-01 Mini Narrows™ is a compact, ultra-slim folding knife for everyday carry (EDC). The model builds on the engineering of the original Narrows series, but in a smaller and more discreet format. With a handle only 7 mm thick and a total weight under 60 g, the knife is designed to take up minimal space in the pocket without losing its structural stability.

All-black titanium handle and flat-profile geometry

The exterior of the knife is optimised for high material strength and minimal bulk:

• 6Al-4V titanium frame: The handle is machined from solid titanium and then given a hard-wearing matt black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) finish. This gives a stiff frame only 7.11 mm thick.

• Featherweight construction: The light materials bring the total weight down to 56.13 g, making the knife very comfortable for daily carry.

• Mini Deep Carry clip: The pocket clip keeps the knife deep and stable in the pocket while you move.

Drop-point blade in CPM-20CV powder steel

The blade is shaped for versatile everyday tasks and precision cuts:

• CPM-20CV stainless steel (59–61 HRC): The 75.7 mm blade is made from the well-regarded CPM-20CV powder steel. This steel stands out for its dense microstructure, which gives long edge retention combined with very high resistance to corrosion and rust.

• Slim profile with flat grind: The blade is 2.03 mm thick and has a full flat grind, which minimises cutting resistance. The blade is also coated in black DLC for extra protection against wear.

Torsion Spring AXIS® Lock and fully Ambidextrous

To achieve the thin handle design, the knife uses Benchmade's updated Torsion Spring AXIS® Lock. Instead of the traditional omega springs, this system uses compact torsion springs. That makes the lock mechanism itself flatter and reduces the width of the handle.

The lock can be operated one-handed in the same way from both the right and left side of the handle. Because the clip can also be moved, the knife is fully Ambidextrous and suits all users.

The knife is made in the USA at Benchmade's own factory in Oregon.
