About Nimrod Performance Green Gas

Nimrod Performance Green Gas is green gas for gas-powered airsoft guns such as gas pistols, GBB carbines (GBBR) and gas sniper rifles. The can holds 500 ml with approx. 260 g of gas, and the pressure is approx. 10 bar at 20 °C.

Nimrod positions green gas as an all-round gas for spring, summer and early autumn, and it is intended for use from around 10 °C and up. The moderate pressure gives stable performance and is kinder to the seals and mechanics of the gun than higher-pressure gas. When it gets cold, the pressure in all gases drops, and many players then choose a higher-pressure gas such as Nimrod Performance Red Gas – but always check what your gun can handle.

Nimrod Green Gas – what you get

What you need to know about the gas:

  • Approx. 10 bar at 20 °C: A moderate pressure that suits most stock gas pistols and GBBRs without putting unnecessary strain on slide, bolt and seals.
  • From approx. 10 °C: Nimrod recommends the gas for mild weather. Below approx. 10 °C the pressure drops, and the gun may shoot weaker and cycle more slowly.
  • 500 ml can: The can contains approx. 260 g of gas. How many magazine fills that gives depends on the size of the magazine and the gun's consumption.
  • For gas pistols and GBBRs: The manufacturer lists the gas as suitable for most GBB pistols and carbines. Gas-powered sniper rifles can also use it if the gun is designed for green gas.
  • Not for CO2 systems: Green gas is filled into gas magazines with a valve. Guns and magazines built for 12 g CO2 capsules cannot use it.

Maintenance and safety

  • The can is pressurised. Store it somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight and open flames, and never expose it to temperatures above 50 °C.
  • Fill the magazine with the can upright and the valve pointing down, and stop when gas starts to spray out.
  • Lubricate the magazine seals regularly with silicone oil if the gas does not contain it.
  • Always wear eye protection when shooting.
