Umarex T4E TX 68, 40 J

Some situations call for serious kit. That is where the Umarex T4E TX 68 (Tactical Xtreme) pump-action rifle comes in. T4E stands for Training for Engagement, and the series was originally developed for realistic tactical training and self-defence. With its imposing looks and the unmistakable sound as you work the pump-action, the TX 68 signals raw power.

Solid all-metal construction and tactical M-LOK system

The TX 68 is built like a tank and designed to give maximum stability when shooting:

• All-metal receiver & large muzzle brake: The gun is built around a very robust all-metal receiver with a solid flash hider/muzzle brake at the end of the barrel. This brings the total weight to just under 3000 g, which makes it very sturdy and reduces felt recoil.

• M-LOK slots & Picatinny rail: The handguard has M-LOK slots on the sides for mounting tactical accessories such as lights, lasers or grips. On top sits a standard 22 mm Picatinny rail ready for your choice of sight.

• Integrated tube magazine: The rifle has a built-in tube magazine under the barrel holding 16 round balls in .68 calibre.

40 joules of energy and CO2 options

This is the high-power version, delivering up to 40 joules:

• Power source: To deliver 40 joules, the rifle runs as standard on a large 88 g CO2 cartridge, which fits securely and accessibly inside the stock. A full 88 g cartridge gives approx. 70 full-power shots.

• Pressure indicator: An optical and tactile pressure indicator at the rear of the stock shows you straight away (by sight and by feel) that the system is pressurised and ready to fire.

• 2x12 g adapter (sold separately): A Quick-Piercing CO2 adapter for 2 standard 12 g CO2 capsules is available. With this adapter the energy drops to 24 joules, but you get the "emergency system", where the capsules are only pierced by a light tap on the rear of the stock when you need the rifle.

Choosing ammunition – remember the 40 J rule!

The TX 68 fires large .68 calibre balls. Because of the high energy of 40 joules, it is strongly recommended NOT to use standard gelatine-based paintballs for target shooting, as they may shatter in the magazine or while feeding. Use rubber balls, plastic balls or chalk balls instead, which can withstand the pressure.

And yes – a tracer unit can of course be fitted to the rifle if you want to shoot glowing tracer balls in the dark!
