About E-Shooter Kestrel V2 SE ETU/MOSFET with App, Rear Wired
The E-Shooter Kestrel V2 SE is an app-controlled ETU with MOSFET for V2 gearboxes, here in the rear-wired version. The SE is E-Shooter's budget version of the Kestrel V2, keeping the core functions – Bluetooth connection to the Eshooter app, pre-cocking, active braking and programmable fire modes – but combining them with a robust mechanical trigger contact.
For many players the SE is the most sensible place to start if you want a smart ETU in your M4 or other V2 replica. You get the functions that really change the shooting experience – faster response, burst and protection of gearbox and battery – and can follow the unit's data in the app, without paying for the full V2's sensor package and AUG mode.
Kestrel V2 SE – key features
Key features and why they matter:
- Pre-cocking in 200 steps: Very fine adjustment of how far the piston is held cocked, so the trigger response can be matched precisely to spring and motor.
- Six fire modes: SAFE, SEMI, BINARY, BURST, AUTO and SNIPER on two programmable selector positions – for example burst instead of full auto at sites with restrictions.
- Three profiles with quick switching: Save up to three setups in the app and switch between them by holding the trigger for 3 seconds in SAFE – handy when you switch between CQB and woodland.
- Brushless-ready with active braking: Supports brushless and high-speed/high-torque motors, and the adaptive brake ensures the piston stops forward for less wear on the gearbox.
- Protection and OTA: Smart fuse, locked-rotor protection, battery monitoring with warning in the app, sleep mode after one hour and free firmware updates.
Maintenance and safety
- Installing it in the gearbox requires experience with AEG internals – our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can fit and set up the ETU for you.
- Calibrate the unit after installation as the manufacturer specifies – and avoid scratching or pinching the board, as this can cause a short circuit.
- Use LiPo, LiFe or LiHv batteries within the voltage range, and disconnect the battery after play.
- Keep grease and dirt away from the board and contacts when servicing the gearbox.
