About Maple Leaf MONSTER High Performance Valve for GBB
The Maple Leaf MONSTER High Performance Valve (GV01) is a hi-flow output valve for gas magazines in GBB pistols from Tokyo Marui, WE and VFC – including G-series Glock magazines. The valve sits at the top of the magazine, where it is opened by the pistol's valve knocker on every shot, and it determines how much gas is sent up into the pistol. The valve is made from brass and stainless steel with high-quality O-rings.
A standard valve is sized for consistent performance at room temperature. When the pistol has been upgraded with a heavier slide or stronger spring, or when it is cold, the standard valve cannot deliver enough gas for a full, fast slide cycle. The MONSTER valve gives a larger gas flow, so the slide cycles faster and with more force – in return, the pistol uses more gas per shot and muzzle velocity increases.
Hi-flow, brass and stainless steel
Five features that make the MONSTER valve a popular GBB upgrade:
- Hi-flow design: The larger flow sends more gas up per shot, giving stronger blowback and a more reliable cycle – especially noticeable in the cold or with heavy upgrade slides.
- Higher rate of fire: The slide cycles faster, which you notice in rapid strings.
- Brass and stainless steel: The valve body is brass and the valve pin stainless steel, which stand up to the repeated impacts from the valve knocker better than the standard valve's materials.
- Replaces leaking valves: A valve that leaks or sticks is a common cause of empty magazines and weak blowback. High-quality O-rings seal against the magazine so pressure is held between strings.
- For TM, WE and VFC: Fits gas pistol magazines from Tokyo Marui, WE and VFC, including G-series Glock magazines.
Maintenance and safety
- Empty the magazine of gas completely before unscrewing the valve, and use a valve tool – not pliers, which can damage the thread.
- Velocity increases with a hi-flow valve. Check the pistol with a chronograph after fitting so it stays within the site's joule limit.
- Lightly lubricate the O-rings with silicone oil, and only use gas intended for airsoft.
- If you would rather have it fitted, our workshop in Aulum, Denmark can do it for you.
