No Skill, Just Gear PVC Patch

No Skill, Just Gear is a PVC morale patch from Hank Tactical, our own brand, for the airsoft player with a sense of self-irony. The design is inspired by retro action figures in blister packs – complete with all the accessories and the text Skill Not Included! It pokes affectionate fun at the player who has invested in the entire kit list but doesn't necessarily hit the target. The hook-and-loop backing fits the loop panel on a plate carrier, chest rig, backpack and cap.

Most airsoft players know it: one more upgrade, a new sight, a new vest – and still the same hit rate. That is the joke the patch carries, and it is why it works so well on the field, where morale patches are used to give the team and your loadout a bit of personality. PVC is moulded in a soft, rubbery material, so the many small details in the blister pack stay sharp and do not fray like embroidery. The patch is part of the same series as Financially Irresponsible.

Retro design in PVC with hook-and-loop

What sets No Skill, Just Gear apart:

• Retro action figure design: The blister pack and the text Skill Not Included make a recognisable design that also works at a distance.
• Detail in PVC: Moulded PVC reproduces small details and sharp colour transitions that are hard to capture in an embroidered patch.
• Built for the field: The material does not absorb water and can be wiped clean, so the patch looks good after a wet day in the woods.
• Hook-and-loop backing: The patch attaches directly to loop panels and can be moved between vest, backpack and patch panel without sewing.
• Hank Tactical series: Part of our own series of humour patches, made to be collected and combined.

Maintenance and safety

• Wipe the patch with a damp cloth. For mud or grease you can use lukewarm water and a little mild soap – avoid solvents and degreasers, which can attack the PVC.
• Remove the patch before the vest, bag or cap goes in the washing machine, and keep it away from tumble dryers and strong heat, such as behind the windscreen of a car in the sun.
• Regularly pick grass, lint and hair out of the hook backing so it keeps its grip on the loop panel.
