GATE Pulsar D Kit for V3, ASTER II Bluetooth, V3 Tappet Plate

The GATE Pulsar D Kit for V3 is a complete HPA conversion for V3 gearboxes, typically found in AK platforms. The kit consists of the Pulsar D engine with two solenoid valves, the ASTER II Bluetooth EXPERT control unit for V3 with pre-soldered wires to the HPA engine, plus a dedicated V3 tappet plate and extra wires. No soldering is needed – the engine replaces the cylinder, piston and cylinder head in the gearbox.

The dedicated V3 tappet plate is the key to the set: it makes it possible to use the Pulsar D's automatic cycle synchronisation, otherwise known from the V2 platform, where the nozzle position is registered with every shot and the return time is continuously adjusted. That makes calibration considerably simpler than on traditional HPA engines. According to GATE, it is the first set of its kind for V3 owners.

Why the kit matters for V3

The complete set gives you:

• Ready for V3 without soldering: The ASTER II for V3 comes with pre-soldered wires to the engine, and the V3 tappet plate is included – you don't need to adapt a V2 solution or solder yourself.
• Dual solenoid valve and closed bolt: Nozzle and main air are controlled separately, and the nozzle seals against the bucking before the shot. That gives a stable BB trajectory, even on full auto, and makes the system less sensitive to replica alignment than a single-valve engine.
• ASTER II Bluetooth EXPERT: Optical control unit with Bluetooth 5.2, two-stage trigger and configurable fire modes such as SEMI, BINARY, BURST and AUTO – all set up in the GATE Control Station app.
• Universal AEG nozzles: Five nozzle lengths are included, and standard AEG nozzles can also be used. Check which nozzle length your V3 replica requires.
• Low air consumption: Approx. 0.7 PSI per shot at 90 PSI with a 0.8 l/300 bar tank and up to 40 RPS – lower consumption than GATE's single-valve engines.

Maintenance and safety

• Installing an HPA engine requires experience: the gearbox must be emptied, the engine placed fully forward against the front wall of the gearbox, and wires and air line routed without being pinched. We are happy to fit and set it up in our workshop in Aulum, Denmark.
• Only use high-pressure air via a regulator, and keep the operating pressure within 60–140 PSI (approx. 4.1–9.7 bar) – higher pressure can damage the engine. GATE recommends, for example, PolarStar MRS, Redline SFR or Wolverine STORM as regulators. The ASTER II and valves are powered by a small 7.4 V battery.
• The Pulsar D uses AEG nozzles and must not be combined with a nozzle sleeve. The air line has a 6 mm outer diameter and M5×0.8 thread in the engine. A QD fitting (US/EU) is not included and must be bought for your system.
• GATE advises against silicone buckings with Pulsar engines, because they wear faster and change properties with temperature swings. Rubber buckings such as Maple Leaf Mr. Hop, Madbull Blue, TNT Black with nub or G&G green typically work well.
