About Precision Package for M4 AEG – Hop-Up and 290 mm Barrel
The Precision Package for M4 is the complete hop-up system in one package: CNC-machined hop-up chamber, Maple Leaf Super Macaron bucking and a 290 mm Maple Leaf inner barrel. It is the package we recommend with our All-Round kit, where barrel and hop-up are otherwise standard.
Chamber, bucking and barrel work together: the barrel must sit centred in the chamber, and the bucking must press evenly on the BB every time. When all three parts are replaced at the same time, you get the full effect of the upgrade instead of being held back by an old part.
The complete hop-up system, matched
- CNC-machined hop-up chamber for M4: Machined from metal, so the adjustment stays put and the barrel sits firmly and centred. The chamber is supplied without adjustment gears – you reuse the gears from your current chamber.
- Maple Leaf Super Macaron in the hardness you choose: The Macaron bucking's double contact surface gives a wider, more consistent grip on the BB than a standard single-nub bucking. Choose 50° below 110 m/s, 70° at 110–140 m/s and 75° at 130–150 m/s.
- Maple Leaf inner barrel, 290 mm: This is the inner barrel we use as standard in the workshop. Check that 290 mm fits your replica's outer barrel.
- Approx. 10% cheaper than the parts separately: Like our other packages, the price is set below the sum of the individual parts.
Maintenance and safety
- The hop-up chamber sits between the gearbox and outer barrel – the swap requires disassembly of the replica. If you haven't done it before, we recommend having it fitted in our workshop
- Choose the bucking hardness according to your replica's velocity – too soft a bucking gives too much lift at high velocity, too hard too little at low velocity
- Clean the barrel and bucking regularly with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth – silicone in the barrel gives uneven lift
- Always measure velocity with a chronograph after fitting, and stay within the site's limits
- Always wear approved eye protection during play and testing
