About Reximex Lieva Silver PCP Air Rifle, .177 (4.5 mm)
The Reximex Lieva Silver is a full-power PCP air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) producing up to 305 m/s, built like a classic lever-action rifle: loading lever under the trigger, stock and fore-end in Turkish walnut, and a silver, nickel-plated action with engraving. The rifle is 970 mm long with a 500 mm barrel and weighs around 2900 g, so it is easy to shoot off-hand – and off-hand shooting with the supplied open sights is exactly what it is built for.
To make the western profile work with PCP technology, Reximex has turned the usual layout upside down: the regulated 105 cc air cylinder sits on top, and the barrel sits beneath it, where it resembles the magazine tube of a traditional lever-action. The magazine is therefore inserted from the underside of the action. The result is an air rifle with the look of a classic rifle, but with the consistent shot-to-shot performance of a regulated PCP – something a springer in the same style cannot deliver.
Underlever, regulator and 14-shot magazine
Five features that set the Lieva apart from other PCP air rifles:
- Underlever cocking: The lever is swung down and forward and back again, after which magnets in the stock hold it in place. The movement does not pull your cheek off the stock the way a sidelever or bolt often does, which makes fast follow-up shots off-hand easier.
- Regulated 105 cc cylinder, 200 bar: The regulator keeps the pressure behind each shot constant, so velocity of up to 305 m/s does not drop as the cylinder empties, as it does on an unregulated PCP. The pressure gauge sits at the end of the cylinder and is colour-coded, so the fill level can be read at a glance.
- Standard 14-shot Reximex magazine: The rifle uses the same 14-shot .177 (4.5 mm) rotary magazine as the Throne, Daystar and Lyra, among others, so spare magazines are easy to get. Two magazines and a single-shot tray are included.
- Power adjuster and adjustable trigger: An adjustment screw on top of the action regulates power, so the rifle can be turned down for shorter distances. The single-stage trigger is adjustable for weight and travel, and the safety is a button in the trigger guard.
- Open sights and dovetail rail: The rear sight is adjustable for elevation and can be removed with an Allen key, leaving the dovetail rail below free for a riflescope or red dot sight. The stock is symmetrical and therefore Ambidextrous, and the barrel has a 1/2" UNF adapter for a moderator – choose a slim model, as the cylinder sits directly above the barrel.
Maintenance and safety
- Never fill above 200 bar, and use dry, filtered air from a pump or compressor. Fill probe and Foster adapter are included.
- The walnut stock benefits from a thin coat of stock oil now and then and should not be stored in damp conditions.
- Store the rifle unloaded with the magazine removed, out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
- Only shoot at a safe backstop, and wear shooting glasses.
