FX DRS Tactical 700, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS Tactical 700 is the longest version of the first-generation DRS Tactical: a PCP air rifle with a 700 mm barrel and the largest air reserve in the gen. 1 series. Like the 500 and 600, it comes with the FX UG-1 grip and without stock and buffer tube, so it can be built up exactly as the shooter wants – for example for bench shooting with a bipod on the Arca rail.

The reservoir in the barrel shroud holds 310 cc, and the 700 is the only one of the three lengths with a Superior Heavy liner instead of the STX liner. The long barrel and large air reserve make it the natural choice if you mostly shoot at longer range and want as many shots as possible between fills.

What sets the FX DRS Tactical 700 apart

Handguard, plenum and regulator are the same as in the rest of the gen. 1 Tactical – barrel, liner and air reserve are the difference:

• 700 mm barrel: 200 mm longer than the Tactical 500, giving the air more time to accelerate the projectile and a balance that sits steadily on a bipod.
• Superior Heavy liner: As on the STX liner, the rifling is pressed in from the outside for a smooth bore and a good seal. The barrel has a ½ UNF thread with thread protector for a moderator.
• 310 cc reservoir: 100 cc more than the Tactical 500 and 50 cc more than the 600 – the largest air reserve in the gen. 1 Tactical series.
• Tactical Power plenum and AMP MkII regulator: A 35 cc plenum plus 9 cc in the block, an externally adjustable regulator and an adjustable hammer spring when the stock is not fitted.
• Modular chassis: Full-length Picatinny and Arca-Swiss, QD holes and a connection for a Mil-Spec buffer tube and an AR15 stock of your choice, which is not included.

Maintenance and safety

• Only fill with clean, dry compressed air, and never exceed the maximum pressure stated on the air reservoir and in FX's manual.
• Check the O-rings and seals at the fill probe if pressure drops between shooting days, and keep them out of direct sunlight.
• Use a cleaning pellet if accuracy suddenly changes, and clean without water or chemicals.
• Store the rifle uncocked, unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
