FX DRS MKII Tactical Standard, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS MKII Tactical Standard is the DRS series' tactical model, with a 600 mm barrel, aluminium handguard and an adjustable AR15 stock on a Mil-Spec buffer tube. It is a PCP air rifle for shooters who want to bolt on a light, bipod and sling without adapters, and who switch between the range and practical pest control.

Because the air reservoir is integrated into the barrel shroud, there is no bottle under the barrel, and the handguard can carry rails all the way round with a low profile. The Standard version holds 260 cc of air – 50 cc more than the Compact – and strikes a good balance between reach, shots per fill and a length that is still easy to carry.

What you get with the DRS MKII Tactical Standard

The mechanics are the same as in the rest of the DRS MKII series; it is the chassis and length that define the Tactical Standard:

• Modular aluminium handguard: Picatinny on top and Arca-Swiss underneath, both full length, plus M-LOK slots and holes for QD sling swivels. A bipod can be fitted directly to the Arca rail and moved freely.
• Adjustable AR15 stock: The stock sits on a Mil-Spec buffer tube, so length of pull can be adjusted quickly, and you can switch to another AR15 stock to suit your taste.
• 600 mm barrel: The middle length in the series – 100 mm longer than the Compact and 100 mm shorter than the Sniper – for shooters who want one rifle for both field and range.
• AMP MKII regulator and adjustable hammer: The regulator is adjusted from the outside, and the hammer spring preload can be changed, so pressure and air consumption suit the chosen diabolo or slug.
• Superior STX liner and 30 MOA rail: The liner has smooth rifling pressed in from the outside and can be changed without emptying the reservoir. The 30 MOA inclined scope rail gives extra elevation adjustment at longer range.

Maintenance and safety

• Only use clean, dry compressed air, and never fill above FX's maximum system pressure of 230 bar.
• Keep the regulator below 180 bar, and do not keep shooting below the set regulator pressure.
• Use a cleaning pellet if accuracy drops, and check the seals if the rifle loses air.
• Store the rifle dry, unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
