About FX DRS MKII Sniper + Saber Tactical Chassis, Grey, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS MKII Sniper + Saber Tactical Chassis combines the longest base in the second generation of the FX DRS – the DRS MKII Base Sniper in .177 (4.5 mm) – with a Saber Tactical chassis in grey T6 aluminium. The long barrel and stiff chassis make the set an obvious precision rifle for benchrest and field target at longer range.

The set is supplied as separate components, and the base is fitted into the chassis with the included screws. The reservoir sits in the barrel shroud and holds 310 cc at up to 230 bar, so there is no bottle hanging under the barrel. The MKII base has a 30 MOA Picatinny rail for the riflescope, and the chassis adds a pistol grip, height-adjustable cheek piece, bag rider and rails for accessories.

What you get with the set

The MKII base does the shooting, while the Saber chassis provides fit, stability and room for accessories.

  • Long 700 mm barrel and 310 cc: The longest MKII barrel gives the air the most time to accelerate the projectile, and the largest reservoir in the series gives the most shots per fill – especially an advantage with heavy diabolos and slugs.
  • T6 aluminium chassis: The chassis is machined from a single piece of aluminium and is stiffer than a wood or polymer stock, so the base sits firmly and consistently from shot to shot. The underside of the fore-end is textured, so the rifle sits well on a shooting bag.
  • Arca-Swiss, Picatinny and M-LOK: Arca-Swiss rail along the underside with a short Weaver/Picatinny rail at the front, plus M-LOK slots underneath and on both sides. A bipod, tripod and balance weights mount directly without adapters.
  • Ergonomics and adjustment: The pistol grip is shaped for a relaxed shooting position and prepared for a thumb rest. The cheek piece adjusts for height so your eye lines up with the riflescope, and the bag rider and rubber butt pad give a stable hold. The chassis has cut-outs for the pressure gauge and fill port, plus a spirit level.
  • MKII technology: The AMP MKII regulator is adjusted from the outside and feeds a 25 cc power plenum, and the hammer spring preload is adjustable. The Superior STX liner can be changed without emptying the reservoir, and the barrel has a ½ UNF thread for a moderator.

Maintenance and safety

  • Only fill with clean, dry compressed air, and do not exceed 230 bar.
  • Tighten the screws between base and chassis evenly when fitting, and check them after the first few sessions.
  • The rifle is supplied at a medium setting. Adjust the regulator and hammer spring in small steps, and check the result with a chronograph.
  • Store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
