About FX DRS MKII Pro MDT Sniper, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS MKII Pro MDT Sniper is the DRS platform in its most precision-focused form: a 700 mm barrel, an aluminium chassis from MDT and a liner designed for slugs from the factory. It is built for shooting from a bench or bipod at longer distances, where a stiff setup matters more than low weight.

As across the DRS series, the air reservoir sits as a shroud around the barrel instead of as a bottle beneath it, giving a low, clean profile. At Sniper length it holds 310 cc.

What sets the DRS MKII Pro MDT Sniper apart

Chassis, plenum and trigger are chosen for precision shooting. According to the distributor, the .177 (4.5 mm) version with FX's slug kit and Super High Power plenum can reach around 61 J with slugs of approx. 1.3 g – the rifle is, however, supplied at a medium setting.

  • MDT aluminium chassis: Stiffer than a wood or polymer stock, with an Arca-Swiss rail for a bipod, M-LOK slots, a vertical pistol grip with thumb rest, and adjustable length of pull and cheek piece.
  • 73 cc plenum: Almost three times as large as the 25 cc in the Redline version. More regulated air per shot gives a better basis for heavy projectiles in the long 700 mm barrel.
  • Superior STX liner for slugs: Rifling pressed in from the outside gives a smooth bore with low friction and a good seal, and on the MKII the liner can be changed without emptying the reservoir.
  • AMP MKII regulator: Externally adjustable, so working pressure can be matched to diabolo or slug. Together with the adjustable hammer spring preload, you control both output pressure and air consumption.
  • Match-grade trigger and 30 MOA rail: The first and second stages are adjusted separately, and the trigger blade can be moved and rotated. The 30 MOA inclined Picatinny rail gives the riflescope more elevation adjustment for long distances.

Maintenance and safety

  • Only fill with clean, dry compressed air and never above 230 bar, which FX states as the maximum system pressure for the DRS MKII.
  • Do not set the regulator above 180 bar, and refill before pressure drops below the regulator pressure.
  • Clean without water or chemicals, and keep O-rings and seals out of direct sunlight.
  • Store the rifle uncocked, unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
