FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Sniper, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Sniper is the long version of the Classic series: a regulated PCP air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) with a 700 mm barrel and a black synthetic stock. With an overall length of 1152 mm and a weight of 2620 g, it is built for precision shooting at longer range – on the range, in field target or hunting from a fixed position.

The reservoir is integrated into the barrel shroud and on the Sniper holds 310 cc at up to 230 bar – the largest in the series. That means the most shots per fill and enough air to make use of the long barrel. FX uses the Sniper as the reference for the platform's maximum power: with an additional SHP plenum and Slug Power kit, up to 61 J is stated in .177 (4.5 mm) with 1.3 g slugs. From the factory, the rifle is tuned for general use, and the stock is synthetic with a soft-touch grip.

The Classic Synthetic Sniper in detail

The same MKII technology as the Compact and Standard, but with the longest barrel and the most air.

• 700 mm barrel: The longest barrel in the Classic series gives the air the most time to accelerate the projectile. On the other hand, the rifle is 215 mm longer than the Compact – worth bearing in mind if it will also be used in a hide.
• 310 cc reservoir: The large reservoir in the barrel shroud gives the most shots per fill and a reserve when the regulator is turned up for heavier ammunition.
• Upgradeable for slugs: Supplied with a 25 cc power plenum and adjustable AMP MKII regulator, but can be upgraded with FX's SHP plenum and Slug Power kit (optional extras).
• Soft-touch synthetic stock: The stock is maintenance-free and gives a secure grip in wet weather – a practical advantage on a rifle that is often used outdoors for long periods.
• Superior liner and 30 MOA Picatinny: The Smooth Twist X (STX) liners can be changed without degassing, and the 30 MOA rail gives the riflescope the extra elevation travel needed at long range. The trigger is two-stage and fully adjustable.

Maintenance and safety

• Only fill with clean, dry compressed air, and do not exceed 230 bar.
• Check the O-rings at the fill port and magazine regularly, and replace them when worn.
• When fitting an SHP plenum or Slug Power kit: follow FX's instructions, and check the power with a chronograph.
• Store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
