FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Compact, PCP, .177 (4.5 mm)

The FX DRS MKII Classic Synthetic Compact is a short, regulated PCP air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) with a traditional rifle profile and a synthetic stock. With a 500 mm barrel, an overall length of 937 mm and a weight of 2360 g, it is the lightest and most compact Classic – well suited to hunting from a hide, pest control around the farm and carrying on longer outings.

The first thing you notice is that there seems to be no air cylinder. FX has built the reservoir into the barrel shroud, and on the Compact it holds 210 cc at up to 230 bar. The result is a slim rifle with a low profile, reminiscent of a classic sporter. The stock is synthetic with a soft-touch coating that gives a good grip even in wet weather, and the rifle is cocked with a sidelever from a 16-shot magazine.

Features of the Classic Synthetic Compact

Behind the classic shape sits the same MKII technology as in the rest of the series.

• Short and light: A 500 mm barrel and 2360 g make the Compact the most manageable Classic – an advantage in a hide and in the car.
• Maintenance-free synthetic stock: The black stock with soft-touch surface withstands rain and moisture without needing oil or care like a wooden stock, and the coating gives a secure grip with wet hands.
• Regulated with adjustment options: The externally adjustable AMP MKII regulator keeps working pressure constant, and with the stock removed the hammer spring preload can be adjusted. A 25 cc power plenum provides enough air per shot.
• Replaceable Superior liner: The Smooth Twist X (STX) liners have rifling pressed in from the outside for low friction and a good seal. On the MKII they can be changed without emptying the barrel shroud of air.
• 30 MOA Picatinny and adjustable trigger: The Picatinny rail with a 30 MOA incline gives the riflescope more elevation travel at long range, and the two-stage trigger is adjustable on both stages and in blade position.

Maintenance and safety

• Only fill with clean, dry compressed air via the fill port on the right, and do not exceed 230 bar.
• Check the O-rings at the fill port and magazine regularly, and replace them when worn.
• The synthetic stock needs no special care – wipe it with a damp cloth after use in rain and dirt.
• Store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children. Check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
