Earmor M32 Plus Hearing Protection

The Earmor M32 Plus is an active hearing protector with a built-in communication microphone, intended for airsoft, the shooting range and training where you need to both protect your hearing and talk on the radio. It amplifies quiet sounds such as speech and footsteps but attenuates impulse noise above 82 dB, and the cable ends in a NATO plug (U-174), so it can be connected to a radio via a PTT module.

The big advantage of active hearing protection over passive ear defenders is that you are not cut off from your surroundings: you hear teammates and commands clearly while shots and bangs are attenuated. With a boom microphone and NATO plug, the M32 Plus also becomes a complete headset, so you do not have to juggle a separate earpiece. The low-profile cups make it easier to get your cheek onto the stock than with large, round ear defenders.

Active hearing protection and headset in one

Key features of the Earmor M32 Plus:

• Impulse noise attenuation: Sounds above 82 dB are attenuated automatically, and passive attenuation is rated at NRR 22 dB and SNR 29 dB.
• Directional sound: Two separate, shielded microphones make it easier to hear where a sound is coming from, and the volume can be adjusted in five steps.
• Communication microphone and NATO plug: The boom microphone can be fitted on the left or right side, and the NATO plug (U-174) fits Earmor PTT and TCI/Nexus-compatible PTT modules – PTT not included.
• Gel ear cushions: The silicone gel cushions seal closely around the ears, improving both attenuation and comfort on long game days and range days.
• Robust battery compartment: The battery compartment is IPX-5 rated against splashes, runs on 2 x AAA and switches off automatically after 4 hours if you forget.

Maintenance and safety

• The batteries (2 x AAA) are not included – remove them if the hearing protection will be unused for a long time, so they do not leak.
• Wipe the gel ear cushions with a damp cloth after use, and replace them when they become hard or crack, as leaking cushions give poorer attenuation.
• The hearing protection is splash-proof, not waterproof – let it dry before packing it away if it has been exposed to rain.
• The hearing protection is certified to EN 352 and attenuates harmful noise, but stick to the recommended conditions of use and check the cable and plug regularly for wear.
