About Polarstar F2 Low Flow Poppet, Gold
If you want to save air, switching your poppet to one of our low flow poppets is a good move.
Is your gun set up so that the muzzle velocity is too high for the site you want to play at, and you do not want to go too far down in psi? (Polarstar recommends 45 psi as a minimum, which means your F2 may struggle to work correctly below 45 psi.)
The poppet lets you run a higher psi than your current setup while still keeping muzzle velocity down. At the same time, you use less air per shot, as it has a lower flow rate.
We recommend going up a nozzle size when using a low flow poppet, as muzzle velocity will be very low with the new poppet and the standard nozzle (blue nozzle).
The gold poppet has a lower flow rate than the red one and is therefore recommended for very long, narrow-bore barrels, e.g. a 509 mm 6.01 mm barrel.
Unlike the nozzles, the poppet is the same across all F2 models.
