About Silva Explore 4, Grey
The Explore 4 Grey is a robust, fully waterproof headlamp built for outdoor activities on land and on the water. It runs on 3 x AAA batteries (not included), which give a long burn time. The Explore 4 offers 400 lumens, IPX7 water protection, three LED light colours, flexible mounting options and an SOS flashing mode.
Key light functions
Do you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, mountaineering, kayaking or sailing? The Explore 4 has three coloured LED lights: white, red and orange. White is the standard light for outdoor activities and everyday use. Red helps preserve your night vision and is ideal in mountain huts, when hunting and so on. Orange is optimised for map reading and lets you see red contour lines when navigating at sea.
The Explore has 400 lumens and three light settings, including an extra-low mode (10 lumens). This setting gives an even longer burn time and is ideal for reading, close-up work and when you want to save battery. For a cosy tent or boat light, simply put the headlamp in the included storage pouch. Wherever your next adventure takes you, and whatever you plan to do, the Explore 4 is ready to go with you.
In case of an accident, the Explore headlamps have a built-in SOS flashing mode. This is the Morse code distress signal originally established internationally for maritime use, and today it is the international signal for rescue and help.
Waterproof and flexible
The Explore headlamps are designed for adventures on land and on water. They are 100% waterproof (IPX7), which means they can be submerged to 1 m for up to 30 minutes. So you still have a reliable light source if you are unlucky enough to drop the headlamp in the water.
With the included helmet/belt clip you can move the lamp unit from the headband and attach it to a helmet, a belt or your backpack.
Choose the Explore 4 if you prefer a headlamp that runs on batteries you can swap during longer trips.
