About Talk by Former Danish Special Forces Soldier Thomas Rathsack, Friday 7 April
Talk by former Danish special forces soldier Thomas Rathsack in Aulum!
Handelshuset Aulum has teamed up with Thomas Rathsack to host a talk in Aulum! Thomas comes to Aulum Fritidscenter on 7 April from 19:00 to 21:00. Your order confirmation is also your ticket, so choose "Pick up in store" as the delivery method.
Thomas Rathsack will give a talk on "War and Brotherhood", explaining why he chose to spend so many years of hard work and training to become part of the exclusive brotherhood of the Danish Jægerkorps. Thomas will talk about what lies in the word "brotherhood". Is brotherhood just a romanticised cliché? Or is there a special reason why this intense camaraderie and sense of belonging matter so much when Danish special forces soldiers go to war?
Thomas will also talk about his motives and the moral considerations he made before going to war, and how this has affected him.
He will probably also say a little about the TV2 series "Korpset", where Thomas was the lead instructor.
The talk takes place at Aulum Fritidscenter (Markedspladen 10, 7490 Aulum, Denmark). Coffee and tea are included in the ticket, and beer and soft drinks will be available to buy. There will also be a competition at the talk with a great prize up for grabs!
The shop will also stay open until 18:30 that day, with plenty of season-opening offers, so it is a good idea to stop by the shop before heading to the Fritidscenter for the talk. If you like, you can also walk together from the shop to the Fritidscenter!
