Optimised hop-up window for high-performance hop-up
This barrel is more than a smooth tube:
- Precision-cut hop-up window: The barrel has an optimised, precisely machined hop-up window with an X-axis of 4.5° and a Y-axis of 3.8°. This design leaves room for the large contact surfaces of modern upgrade buckings (especially Maple Leaf's own Macaron, Super Macaron and MR buckings).
- Consistent backspin: The window ensures the hop-up bucking presses down into the barrel symmetrically. This reduces "flyers" (BBs veering off to the side) and gives stable, consistent backspin shot after shot.
- Improved airflow: The bore is polished to a mirror finish, which minimises friction against the BB and lets the air behind it push evenly. In many cases this can give a small increase in muzzle velocity.
A good upgrade for mid-length builds
At 290 mm, this barrel fits a wide range of shorter M4 models, CQB rifles or setups where you run a mock suppressor to hide an extended inner barrel. It is a key component for the airsoft tech who wants more range on outdoor sites without compromising the gun's mobility.
