About Hatsan Model 150TH, .177 (4.5 mm)

The Hatsan Torpedo 150TH is a spring-powered air rifle in .177 (4.5 mm) calibre with a fixed barrel and underlever. Instead of breaking the barrel, you cock the rifle with a lever under the barrel and load the pellet through a breech behind the barrel. The rifle shoots up to 380 m/s, is 1170 mm long and weighs around 4600 g.

The advantage of a fixed barrel is that it always sits in the same position relative to the action and the riflescope. On a break-barrel, the barrel has to lock precisely into place every time you load, and even small deviations can shift the point of impact. The high weight also makes the rifle steady through the shot, and with the supplied bipod it is well suited to precision shooting from a bench or the prone position.

Hatsan Torpedo 150TH – key features

The key technical features:

  • Underlever and breech: The lever under the barrel cocks the spring, and the breech opens the loading port so the pellet goes straight into the barrel. The barrel never moves, giving a consistent starting point for every shot.
  • SAS and TRIOPAD: Hatsan's Shock Absorber System reduces vibration, and the TRIOPAD butt pad with three spacers absorbs recoil and lets you set the length of pull in four steps.
  • Thumbhole stock: The synthetic stock has a thumbhole grip and a Monte Carlo cheek piece for a stable hold and a consistent cheek weld behind the scope.
  • Quattro 2-stage trigger: The match trigger is adjustable for both travel and trigger pull, and has a metal trigger blade.
  • Sights, rail and bipod: TruGlo fibre-optic sights with a micro-adjustable rear sight, a rail with a recoil-absorbing scope stop, and sling swivels on the stock. A bipod is included.

Maintenance and safety

  • Never fire without a pellet in the barrel. Dry-firing puts unnecessary strain on the spring, piston and seals and can shorten their life.
  • The rifle has a manual safety, an automatic safety on cocking and an anti-bear-trap safety. Keep hold of the cocking lever while the loading port is open.
  • Use a riflescope and mount designed for powerful spring-powered air rifles.
  • Clean the barrel at regular intervals and keep the metal parts lightly oiled. Wear shooting glasses, store the rifle unloaded and out of reach of children, and check the air rifle regulations in your country before purchase.
