Jefftron HPA Solenoid Connector Cable, 10 cm

The Jefftron HPA Solenoid Connector is a short adapter cable that connects Jefftron's Scylla HPA – V2 control unit to an HPA system running a single solenoid – e.g. single-solenoid systems from PolarStar and other compatible engines. The cable is 10 cm long and has a ZHR-02 connector at each end, so it clicks straight onto both the control unit and the solenoid lead without soldering.

When you replace the original control unit in an HPA-converted V2 gearbox with a Scylla HPA – V2, it is precisely the link between control unit and solenoid that has to fit. With a ready-made cable from the same manufacturer as the control unit, you avoid home-made joints, and the short cable is easy to route neatly in the gearbox, where space is already tight.

Features of the cable

A small but important part of a Scylla HPA installation:

• ZHR-02 at both ends: Small 2-pin JST ZH connectors (1.5 mm pitch) that fit the Scylla HPA – V2's solenoid output – no soldering or crimping needed.
• Made for single solenoid: Jefftron has made the cable specifically as an adapter between the Scylla HPA – V2 and single-solenoid HPA systems from PolarStar and compatible systems.
• 10 cm length: Short enough to avoid excess wire that has to be tucked away in the gearbox, but long enough to reach from the control unit to the solenoid.
• 24 AWG with PTFE insulation: PTFE (Teflon) is thinner and more durable than ordinary PVC insulation and withstands heat from the soldering iron – an advantage when the wire runs close to sharp edges in the gearbox.
• From the same manufacturer as the control unit: Connectors and wire are chosen by Jefftron for the Scylla system, so you don't have to match connector types from different suppliers.

Maintenance and safety

• Always disconnect the battery and bleed the air from the HPA line before working in the gearbox.
• Pull on the connector itself – not the wire – when removing the cable, so the wires aren't torn out of the ZH connector.
• Route the cable so it doesn't get pinched between the gearbox halves or at the trigger.
