When people think of G&G Armament, they think M4. That is understandable — the Combat Machine series, the ARP9 and the GMS rifles are the ones that turn up most often in search results and on airsoft sites around the world. But G&G's range reaches far beyond the American M4 platform.
From Russian AK rifles with real wood, through iconic MP5s and German G36s, to the British L85 and historical WWII replicas — for decades G&G has built one of the broadest and most varied ranges in the airsoft world. And they never forget what makes G&G G&G: solid internals, a good hop-up and a price that makes sense.
Here is an overview of the series you may not have known G&G made.
The RK series — G&G's AK family
For many airsoft players the choice of platform is almost ideological: you are either an M4 person or an AK person. If you are the latter, G&G has you covered with the RK series — a broad family of AK-inspired rifles in metal, wood and modern tactical designs.
The RK47 with wood is the classic choice if you want the authentic AK experience. The receiver, receiver cover and barrel assembly are full metal, while the handguard, stock and pistol grip are made of real wood with a high-quality finish. The rifle field-strips like the real AK-47, and G&G has even included a replica bolt carrier. It is a rifle built for the player who prioritises authenticity and historically correct looks.
The RK74 and RK104 are the more modernised variants in the series — with polymer furniture and, in the case of the RK74-E, a full-metal receiver with a KeyMod rail for tactical accessories. These models are closer to the modern soldier's AK and suit the player who wants the AK silhouette but with today's ergonomics and accessory options.
The RK Beta is a compact, modernised take on a tactical AK carbine, designed specifically for CQB and close terrain, where the classic long AK can be awkward.
All G&G RK models run a V3 metal gearbox — the AK platform's standard gearbox — and are upgrade-compatible with most standard AK parts on the market.
The TGM series — G&G's MP5
No list of iconic airsoft rifles is complete without the MP5 — the compact and elegant H&K design that has been in the hands of police forces, special operations units and action heroes around the world since the 1960s.
G&G's TGM series is their answer to the MP5 platform, and it delivers what you expect from G&G: full-metal construction, an ETU and a 25,000 RPM motor straight from the factory. The result is an MP5 that doesn't just look right — it shoots and feels right.
The TGM comes with a retractable stock and RIS rails for mounting accessories. It is a rifle with broad appeal: for CQB players who want the classic MP5 silhouette, for milsim enthusiasts who want to match historically correct loadouts, and for players who are simply tired of the sea of M4s on the field and want to stand out.
GEC36 — G&G's G36
The Heckler & Koch G36 is a very recognisable rifle — and G&G's GEC36 is a well-made replica of the compact G36C variant. It is built mainly from high-density, glass-fibre reinforced polymer, combined with metal at the critical points: barrel, RIS rails, muzzle device and sights.
That gives the GEC36 its characteristic light-but-solid feel — and the folding stock makes it a natural CQB choice. It is fully Ambidextrous and uses a steel heavy bolt system that adds an authentic sound and feel to every shot.
One thing to note: the G36 uses proprietary G36 magazines that are not compatible with M4 magazines. That is the small price you pay for standing out from the crowd.
The L85 series — the British bullpup
If you want something really different, G&G's L85 is one of the most striking choices in the whole range. The L85 is the British military's standard rifle — a bullpup design where the gearbox sits at the rear in the stock, giving the rifle a uniquely short and compact format without compromising on barrel length.
G&G's L85 comes with an ETU, MOSFET and full-metal construction in the advanced version. The latest L85 A3 is the most up-to-date version with improved durability and stability. It is a rifle for the player who wants something unique — the bullpup design is rare on most sites, and that is exactly what makes it interesting.
M14 EBR — the long arm
For outdoor games and the player who wants to act as a marksman and cover teammates from distance, G&G's M14 EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) is a striking choice. It has a full-metal receiver and stock, shoots approx. 117–119 m/s with 0.20 g BBs and has a KeyMod rail system for optics and accessories.
The M14 EBR is a large and heavy rifle — it is not a CQB platform. But for the player who wants range, authenticity and a rifle that looks impressive on the field, it is one of the most distinctive choices in G&G's entire range.
Historical airsoft rifles from G&G
G&G also has a passion for historically correct replicas, and it shows in their WWII and historical series — rifles inspired by the Second World War and other classic periods. Although these models are more niche than the M4s and AKs, they show G&G's breadth and dedication to covering the whole airsoft spectrum.
Models such as the Thompson, classic M1-inspired designs and G&G's historical series are mainly for milsim players with a historical focus, role-play and re-enactment — but they are excellently built and carry the same G&G DNA as the rest of the range.
What does this mean for you?
The point is simple: whatever platform or style you are drawn to, chances are G&G has something for you — far beyond the well-known M4 models.
That is one of the reasons G&G is, in our view, one of the strongest brands in airsoft: they have not specialised in one narrow segment, but have built a range that covers the beginner with a CM16, the CQB player with an ARP9, the milsim enthusiast with a wooden RK47 and the tactically minded player with a GMS Striker — and everything in between.
