What is softgun? 

Softgun – also know as a hardball-weapon – is a weapon-like object that shoots 6mm plastic balls. The weapons can usualy is separated into 3 different catagories, depending on their propellant. 

• Manual weapon: This is where the spring must be manually loaded back by muscle. Most of the cheaper weapons are manual weapons.
• Electric weapon: This is where the spring is loaded by a motor and gearbox. Most automatic rifles are electric.
• Gas/Co2 weapon: This is where the projectile is launched by pressurized gas. Most of the expensive guns are gas/CO2. 

What is the Legislation? 

Despite the name ’softgun’, These weapons still demand a certain level of respect. Used wrong these weapons can severely damage forexample eyes and teeth. Because of this, they are subject to a good amount of legislation. 

First off you must be 18 to buy, own and transport a softgun. When transporting a weapon, it must be covered as to not be visible. They are build as replicas of real weapons and can therefor alarm people around you.  

Playing on gamefields is allowed, at an age of 16 years, with a parrent/guardians permission. The weapon however must still be transported to and from the site by a person 18 years of age.
